August 23, 1931 to November 16, 1998 Born August 23,1931 a wonderful little boy... Entered into new life November 16, 1998 an honorable man..   Gerry left this earth after a long battle with leukemia and lung cancer. He was loved by many during his life; his parents, Edith and Lawrence Lamere, his sister Romel, brother Don, and birth siblings Murial, Irene and Earl. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don, and his first wife Bernice who loved him and gave him two daughters, Vicki and Debbi, who survive. Gerry married Yvonne Hackman on September 29, 1984. She survives him as do five step-sons and daughters.. Laura, Dave, Sue, Jim and Dina.   Many grandchildren loved their Grandpa, whether his by birthrite or inherited, they all loved him the same. Larry,the navigator, Amanda, Cera and Gretchen Brian,Jim, Nikki, ElDora..who loved swimming while her Grandpa watched over her... Yvonne, walking with Grandpa and Muffy, Chris still has his c.w. truck Catie, who trusted Grandpa to baby sit "Mousy" while she went for a walk with Grandma..Marshall and Maggie who love to look at the pictures of themselves with their "Poppa Derry"--- Joe, Sarah and Allison, who loved Kids Kingdom and the Grandpa who took them there. All the "Greats" Kyle, Brianna, Eric, Cory, Jamie.. Grandpa's "Dolly", Alyssa and two that got here after Grandpa left us... Valerie and Caryn.   Rest peacefully, Gerry, You have earned your place in heaven. Your earthly tour is over and your new life just begun.. You crossed over the rainbow bridge and found you faithful little companion, Muffy, and you are together again for all time. Give her a little pat for me. 'Til we meet again.. keep watch over me...
