Papa, If I
could just talk with you right now I would feel alot better. It has been almost a year now
since you died. I miss you so much. You taught me so much and I never knew how much this
would hurt. I still think about you every day and wish you were here to see your great
grandchildren that loved you so dearly. Since then you have a new great grandaughter,
Alivia Grace Acklin. She was born July 27, 1999. I feel like you made sure she made it to
us safetly. I can almost see you in her eyes. I know you would of loved to hold her too.
Tyler still talks about you and when you guys would throw rocks in the mud puddle and how
you used to ride around on the lawn mower and you even made a special place for him to
rest his feet on, and take him to Shoney's for his favorite "Gravy and Eggs". I
will always remember you and hope you will watch over all of us and please know that
things are so hard without you here. Just to hear your encourgement and to see you play
with Tyler and A.J. You taught Tyler to hammer nails and in fact he has been doing that
this morning. Tyler and I never did miss a day coming and seeing you when you were so sick
and had to be in bed upstairs. I cherish those last days we spent together when I was
combing your hair and reading you the newspaper and telling you about my day at work and
Tyler's day at Pre-school. I did all of that because I thought I could make you better. I
can't change anything now and I have to go on with my life but I wanted to do something
special for you. I love you and always will.
Love, Jamie (The best and the meanest
grandaughter)
Please watch over us...we all love you.
