- Mike was born June,2, 1963,to Linda and Paul. Mike has a sister
Lisa Kay Mode, she is married to Charlie Mode. Mike was a barber and a hairstylists. He
was married to Julie and had two beautiful children, Michael Paul Riley Jr. and Amber
Nicole,whom he loved very much. Mike enjoyed the outdoors very much. He loved to hunt,
fish,and go camping with his family. Mike and his family were in church,and I was so
proud when I knew he became a christian, thats what mothers hope and pray for ,that their
children are living for the Lord.
- Mike has a nephew Allen who has a son A.J. and a neice April who
has a daughter Tisha-K, whom Mike loved very much. Mike also has a stepdad Bill Sallee and
a stepmom Kathy,and a stepbrother Kenny. Mike has several aunts, uncles,cousins and lots
of friends who loved him very much.

A Message from Heaven
Don't greive for me,because I'm gone,
I'm safely in Heaven, where I'll live on,
My loved ones are all so happy I'm here,
I'm well taken care of, so please dry your tears.
Just give me a smile,as I look down,
Be happy for me, at the peaceI have found.
Grandparents,cousins,loved ones of old,
We all walk together, down streets of pure gold.
Continue to live your lives as before, and when you
come home,I'll be at the door.
To welcome you in, and rejoice and sing,
we'll all be God's angels spreading our wings.
So comfort yourselves, and please understand,
I'm so happy here,in this promised land.
Don't burden yourselves, greif and despair,
all though you miss me, don't wish me back there.
I'm one of God's children, in my rightful place,
and every day I can look on His face.
so cheer up loved ones, and please don't forget,
I'm safely Home, I have no regrets.

- In October 1996, I lost my brother Mike.
- He was a wonderful person to all who knew him.
- Mike you are always in my heart.
- Your work on earth was done and now you are in heaven
resting high on that mountain.
- I often feel you close beside me watching over me.
- You never got to hold Tisha-k but I know you are her
guardian angel.
- I love you and miss you

The loss
of my Son
On October 12,1996, I lost my son Michael
Paul Riley Sr., to a firey car crash, a morning I will never forget. Mike was on his way
to work as usual when he crossed the median and came to rest on the other side of the road
,just as though he parked it there in front of this big truck, which was coming down the
oppposite side. The trucker got out ok, but Mike's vehichle caught fire,and was
burnt up in it. They said that he had a heart attack before, and that caused him to cross
the median.
You always have a lot of questions, why
mine, I guess we all ask that, but only God knows. But nobody knows what it's like to lose
a child unless they've been there. It's the hardest thing I ever had to face, and I thank
God for giving me the strength to get through each day.
There is never a day or night that goes by
that I don't have Mike in my heart and on my mind. You know what is so ironic is ,that my
youngest sister lost her son Doug, only 13 mos.and 3 days before I lost Mike. We had two
good looking young men. But we feel that God needed two beautiful angels up there, so He
chose Doug and Mike.
So now they are with their grandparents,
Jans and my MOM and DAD, and know that they are in good hands. We LOVE you all very much.
